Did You Know...

...that De Thou, a French statesman and historian, stated the following?

"After what I owe to God, nothing should be more dear or more sacred than the love and respect I owe to my country."

Thought of the Week

It makes absolutely no sense that millions of people throughout the world would sacrifice almost anything to be able to live in the U.S.; but within the U.S. some politicians think that the U.S. is evil, racist, etc.? True, historically there have been issues and a few still remain but continue to be corrected. The situation calls for treating the "wound" and not doing major organ-replacement surgery. All societies have some issues; the better ones have fewer issues since they are corrected over time. But, as the old saying goes, "Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater!" Common sense and not radicalism needs to prevail!
