Did You Know ...

...that just in case we missed it, $500 is offered to the first pharmacist or pharmacy technician to show where chemical stability and chemical degradation is discussed in detail in USP <1112> Application of Water Activity Determination to Nonsterile Pharmaceutical Products other than the first mention in the first paragraph of the chapter?

Tip of the Week

The beyond-use dates in USP <795> are largely based on water activity and USP <1112>. However, there appears to be no discussion on this to justify its basis for use in chemical stability and setting beyond-use dates for nonsterile compounded preparations. See our Newsletter published on June 21, 2019, Volume 16, Issue 25 for a more detailed discussion.
