Lippincott Williams & Wilkins

A must for pharmacists who compound prescriptions for cats

This 560-page reference book provides rapid access to important information needed in the daily practice of feline medicine, such as the diagnosis, treatment, and probable outcome of feline syndromes and diseases. The appendix includes charts, diets, testing procedures, laboratory values, and an extensive drug formulary. The formulary, which is presented as a chart, includes the generic and brand names of drugs, pharmacologic information, indications for drug use, and dosage recommendations. The book is wonderfully illustrated with true-to-life photos and well-executed charts and figures. Each chapter includes an overview of a syndrome or disease, primary and ancillary diagnostic factors (clinical signs, laboratory findings, cytologic and radiographic results, necessary procedures), treatments (primary and secondary therapeutics), prognosis, and suggested additional reading. This comprehensive reference book is well-indexed and very easy to use.
