Trissel's Stability of Compounded Formulations - 2nd Ed.

Larry Trissel
American Pharmaceutical Association

As the number of compounded prescriptions continues to increase, pharmacists need access to easy-to-use stability data on various formulations. This newly released second edition of Trissel’s Stability of Compounded Formulations includes a substantial number of new entities: monographs on a total of 280 preparations and 674 references from the literature that has been published during the last 40 years. Also included is an appendix of chemical suppliers. The book is arranged alphabetically by nonproprietary name. The reader who turns to the desired drug will find information arranged according to several categories: properties, general stability considerations, stability reports of compounded products, and commercial availability. In some cases, information on compatibility with other drug products is included. This book is a must for all pharmacists who prepare compounded prescriptions
