Maximizing the Arthritis Cure: A Step-by-Step Program To Faster, Stronger Healing During Any Stage of the Cure

Jason Theodosakis, MD, MS, MPH; Brenda Adderly, MHA; and Barry Fox, PhD
St. Martin's Press

This book is a more indepth look at the “Arthritis Cure.” While the previous book focused more on arthritis in general and on a definition of the nine-step program, this follow-up book focuses more on implementation. It gives readers practical information as to how to incorporate the cure into their everyday lifestyle. It lists recommendations on working with a physician, questions to ask, and examinations, x rays, and other tests that are essential to succeed. Proper exercise is crucial to the success of the program. The book reviews proper sitting, standing, lifting and sleeping positions, as well as guidelines for stretching and exercising different areas of the body. It covers all types of exercise, illustrating many different techniques, and helps an individual develop an exercise program that is right for him or her. Diet is another important part of the program. The book contains recipes and other helpful diet information. Finally, the “Maximized Arthritis Cure” includes information on other supplements such as minerals/trace minerals (boron, calcium, chromium, copper, magnesium, manganese, selenium, silicon, zinc), antioxidants (vitamins A, C, E and P), the B vitamins, vitamin D, SAMe, hydrolyzed collagen, enzymes (bromelain, trypsin and chymotrypsin, papain, rutin), fatty acids (gamma linolenic acid, eicosapentanoic acid, flaxseed) and the new prescription nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs called cytochome oxidase (COX)-II inhibitors, which are being used to battle arthritis. This book is a helpful reference for consumers considering the wide variety of supplements and medications available for arthritis in today’s marketplace.
