Lexi-Comp

The perfect drug information resource for all pharmacists who are managing geriatric patients!

This recently updated reference contains over 800 geriatric-sensitive drug monographs. It is organized like a dictionary, which makes it easy to find information. Although Lexi-Comp’s Drug Information Handbook contains more monographs (1570), this reference is more comprehensive for the geriatric patient. Each monograph contains up to 36 key fields of information including a “geriatric considerations” field, dosage adjustment recommendations for renal/hepatic impairment, cytochrome P450 effects, monitoring parameters, clinical recommendations, Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 (OBRA) guidelines and drug/food interactions. As indicated above, this reference is also available on CD-ROM, as handheld software for a PDA and as an Internet subscription.
