Drug Information: A Guide to Current Resources (2nd ed.)

Peterson's
Medical Library Association and The Scarecrow Press, Inc.

If the reader is an information guru, pharmacy student or drug information specialist, this may be the resource for him/her, but for most it would be a helpful resource to use while researching a particular topic at the medical library. With the advent of new technology, searching for drug information has become quite a science. This reference reviews current drug information reference books, databases and online resources. If someone is looking for information, chances are this book will tell how and where to find it, in addition to explaining the content and subject matter of each reference listed. Most community pharmacists do not have access to reference books in their pharmacies. However, with the increasing popularity of the Internet and online capabilities, pharmacists can access a wide variety of resources at their fingertips; and this reference contains an excellent list of online resources and websites pertinent to drug information, health care, etc. It is a good place to check for ideas and reviews of the current resources when trying to update one’s library in a particular area of interest.
